The October 19, 2011 Spring Creek Watershed Commission Meeting featured guest speaker Mark Stephens, Groundwater Geologist from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.  He provided a presentation on the Source Water Protection Technical Assistance Program (SWPTAP).  This program developed by the Department of Environment Protection, offers technical assistance at no cost for adoption of local, voluntary source water protection programs throughout the Commonwealth. Through improved raw water quality and reduced risks at the source, a source water protection program supports sustainable infrastructure, reduces or maintains operation and maintenance costs, and improves public health protection.  The meeting may be viewed online at the direct link below.
